I pretty much blew this photo. This is downtown Denver, shot through my bike frame, from the top of Lookout Mountain in Golden. I had an afternoon off, so I decided to bike out to Lookout from downtown, up it, back down and home again. The whole trip is around 45 miles and 1,500 feet of elevation gain. It kicked my ass. Now, if I could just get the shot in focus.
Here’s the humble beginning of Critical Mass on Friday. We ended up with 60 or 70 people, and only a couple of arrests.

I was trying to get a shot of Maynard (yellow jersey) with his small wheels and and the guy on the penny farthing bike with his giant wheel, but I couldn’t quite get it from my bike. On the bright side, I didn’t drop my camera or crash.
