I caught a pretty sweet sunset while walking across the Washington Avenue bridge in Golden tonight.
Apparently a couple of days ago, there was a giant logjam upstream in Georgetown, and when it let loose, it came all the way down to Golden, just in front of the bridge, where it stopped, damming up the creek for a few minutes and pushing chunks of snow all the way up the banks, almost up to the back door of the Golden Visitors Center, before it pushed through downstream. This was all told to me by my tour guide for the day, Sharon, who was doing a pretty good job convincing me that Golden is the coolest little town in the metro area.
